200 years of research and knowledge are our DNA

Here’s an historical picture from the archives of FertiGlobal’s mother-company Lardarello Group.

It all began back in 1818, when Jacques François Larderel, our visionary founder, discovered the potential of geothermal energy, naturally present in the territory.

🔬 200 years of research and knowledge after, Larderello Group has expanded all over the world with R&D labs, production sites, sales offices, warehouses located in the five continents.

Today the main hub of FertiGlobal, agricultural division of the Group, is still located in the beautiful Tuscany region.

Our company works at the forefront in the global agricultural scene. We are highly committed to advanced R&D for the creation of innovative plant nutrition solutions ensuring healthy plant growth and yield increase at the highest standards. 🌱

Crop management program on Chili – top performance!

🌶 India is one of the world’s leading chili producers. These plants particularly love warm weather and grow in small bushes.

Curious fact: the super pungent taste of its fruits is due to a chemical called ‘capsaici’.

Here we are in central India, in the State of Madya Pradesh. One of our partners in the country is testing FertiGlobal’s advanced bioactivating technologies on their chili cultivations. Our local team has supported the client right from the beginning of the season following FertiGlobal’s Crop Management Program specifically designed for this crop.

Results are impressive: our chilies have grown much bigger and healthier compared to the crops treated with the standard agricultural practice.

Online event for the German audience

➡️🌱 Last week FertiGlobal organized a new online event for the German audience coordinated by the Agriculture magazine @AgrarZeitung: “Biostimulants: a milestone for integrated crop production”.

The meeting has been a great chance to discuss the crucial role of plant biostimulants in the transition towards a more sustainable agriculture. We presented our EU-funded LIFE #ENVisionProject and shared the great results achieved by our bioactivating technology EnNuVi on several types of crops.

Finding the right balance between economy and ecology in agriculture is now more urgent than ever, as highlighted by the EU Green Deal and Farm To Fork strategy. This is the mission at the heart of our #ENVisionProject and our patented EnNuVi technology: Enhance, Nurture and Vitalize crops to increase yield and ensure healthy plant growth.

Zero hunger and Climate action

“Zero hunger” and “Climate Action” are some of the most urgent sustainable development goals, according to the UN 2030 Agenda.

The agricultural sector is definitely a crucial segment if we want to change our future for the better.

Today, modern agriculture has to face a number of challenging issues: on one side the dramatic effects of climate change, on the other the severe soil pollution caused by  the extensive use of pesticides and – last but not least – a growing demand for food due to a constantly increasing world population.

This is why FertiGlobal’s R&D has focused on the need for valid alternatives to the traditional use of pesticides.

Our #EnNuVi technology is the latest result of our in-depht studies: a savvy combination of bioactive polyphenols with selected natural ingredients, able to enhance plant growth from seed germination to maturity, boost its resistance to abiotic stress conditions and enlarge its life cycle.

The value of our EnNuVi technology has been recognized and awarded by the European Union, that is supporting the project within its LIFE Programme.

Folistim Fortitudo

A new cutting-edge technology is now part of FertiGlobal’s rich line up, ready to help farmers worldwide growing strong and healthy crops in the most sustainable way!

We are happy to present you Fortitudo, based on our Folistim technology.

Transplanting is a traumatic event for plants: roots have to adapt to the new characteristics of the soil such as different temperature, water and air availability. In this delicate phase, growth can come to a standstill and the plant may weaken and even die.

That’s where Fortitudo comes in!

The name of this rooting promoter comes from the latin word for “strenght”: thanks to its nutritional and biostimulating properties, this innovative product is a real powerhouse for plants, ensuring vigorous growth and supporting roots.

Look at the result of a trial that our R&D team has made on tomato plants: the photos speak for themselves!

All begins from chemistry

Chemistry: this is where it all begins.

Here’s a picture from FertiGlobal’s R&D lab in Tuscany (Italy). Here our passionate team of scientists is always at work to develop and constantly improve our advanced bioactivating technologies for sustainable agriculture.

On these shelves are some of the key formulations developed by our researchers. In the lab we design and produce different biostimulant prototypes, savvy mixing and matching ingredients. Then, in our special growth chamber and greenhouse we test our solutions on crops so that we can analyze and adjust them until they are ready for large scale production.

This is how we constantly innovate our product line up with the aim of making global agriculture more sustainable every day.
